FAQ
3D Warren: Studio FAQs & Collector Guide
The Commission Process
How does the custom monument process operate? Every bespoke commission is a collaborative journey between the collector and the studio:
- Secure a Studio Slot: Purchase a Commission Deposit ($400) for your desired timeframe (e.g., April Slot).
- Consultation: We contact you to finalize the Technical Brief (breed, posture, and pigment style).
- Reference Mapping: You provide high-resolution, multi-angle imagery via our secure portal.
- Production & WIP: We execute the structural build and manual pigment application. You will receive Work-in-Progress (WIP) updates for final likeness verification.
- Finishing: Upon approval, we apply an archival matte seal and invoice the final balance.
What is the production timeline? To maintain our Gallery Standard, we do not rush the curing or painting stages. Custom Monuments typically require 4 to 8 weeks from the receipt of all reference imagery. Archive Foundational Studies (unpainted) are prepared and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days.
Product Specifications & Care
What materials are utilized in the sculptures? Our monuments are engineered using high-density Structural Bioplastics (PLA). This material provides a stable, non-toxic substrate that allows for the extreme anatomical detail required by the 3D Warren standard.
Are the pieces hand-painted? Yes. 3D Warren does not utilize mass-production painting techniques. Every commissioned piece is hand-finished by Specialized Pigment Artists in the San Francisco Bay Area, involving 8 to 20+ hours of manual labor per monument.
Do the statues include a Certificate of Authenticity? Yes. All original works, including Life-Size Monuments and Founder’s Collection pieces, are accompanied by a physical 3D Warren Certificate of Authenticity (COA). This document verifies the artist of record, the production date, and the unique edition number.
How should I maintain my sculpture?
- Environment: Display indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to high heat or direct UV light.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth for dusting. Do not use chemical solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Handling: While structurally sound, these are fine-art sculptures. Handle with care to protect the archival matte finish.
Logistics & Policy
Where does the studio ship? We currently offer Fully Insured White-Glove Shipping within the United States. Local Bay Area clients may also coordinate private studio pickup.
What is the return policy? As each monument is a bespoke, made-to-order work of art, all sales are final. The $400 deposit is non-refundable as it covers immediate material allocation and studio scheduling. We ensure satisfaction through our WIP Approval Process during the painting stage.
Is my payment secure? Absolutely. Our studio utilizes SSL-encrypted processing through Shopify, adhering to the highest PCI DSS security standards. We accept all major credit providers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
